Comittee anent the Robbers of Penniecooks house

The Lords of there Majesties privie Councill Doe hereby nominate and appoint the Lords Cardross Carmichaell and Justice Clerk and Mr Francis Montgomery of Giffan or any three of them to be a Comittee for takeing tryall anent and examining of such theives and robbers as shall be brought befor them by Sir John Clerk of Penniecook And particularly to examine these persones anent the breaking and robbing of the said Sir John his house in Newbigging And anent what robbers they know or what Combinatione they know to be amongst robbers and theeves and to report to the Councill

Committee concerning the robbers of Penicuik’s house

The lords of their majesties’ privy council hereby nominate and appoint the Lords Cardross, Carmichaell and Justice Clerk and Mr Francis Montgomery of Giffen or any three of them to be a committee for taking trial concerning and examining of such thieves and robbers as shall be brought before them by Sir John Clerk of Penicuik and particularly to examine these persons concerning the breaking and robbing of the said Sir John’s house in Newbigging, and concerning what robbers they know or what combination they know to be amongst robbers and thieves and to report to the council.
