Order anent Mcpherson and Mckeny
The Lords of their majesties privy Councill haveing Considered a petition given in to them be Captaine Heugh Mckay Read in their presence They heirby Appoint Sir James Lessly Commander in Cheiff for the time of their majesties forces within this kingdom to cause transport Kenth Mcpherson and John Mckony in Badenoch from the Tolbooth of Bruntisland or other prison wher they are now prisoners as alledged to have taken on to be souldiers for Flanders with the said Captain Hew Mckay to the Tolbooth of the Cannogate under a suficient guard and appoints the magistrats of the saids respective places and keepers of their Tolbooth to deliver to And the magistrats of Edinburgh and Cannogat and keeper of their Tolbooth to receive the saids persones for the said guard And Recomends to the Comittie appointed anent persones alledged taken on to be souldiers to proceid and act in this matter Conforme to the former reference of Counci made to them.
