Proclamatione adjurning the parliament

The subsequent proclamatione Being redd was votted and approven and signed
And ordored to be Recorded
William and Mary By the Grace of God King and Queen of Great Brittaine France and Ireland defenders of the faith to […] Macers of our privie Councell or messengers at armes our shirreffs in that part Conjunctlly and severally specially Constitut Greeting
Forasmuch as ue uith advyce of the Lords of our privie Councell Did adjurne the Currant parliament of this our antient kingdome of scotland from the tuelvth day of September last bypast to the nynth day of January nixt to Come And ue Considering that the present state of our affairs in this our antient kingdome does not requyre that the members of our said parliament should be putt to any trowble that may be dispensed uith Doe therfore uith advyce of our saids Lords of privie Councell adjurne our said Currant parliament untill the fifteenth day of march nixt Heirby Requyring all the members of our parliament to attend that day in the usuall way and under the Certificatione Contained in the severall Acts of parliament made theranent Our uill is Hierfore And ue Charge yow strictly and Command That Incontinent these our Letters seen ye pass to the mercat cross of Edinburgh and to the mercat crosses of the remanent head burghs of the severall shires of this our Antient kingdome And ther by open proclamatione make Intimatione of the adjurning of our parliament of this kingdome from the said nynth of January nixt to Come to the said fifteenth day of march therafter And ordaines these presents to be printed Given under our signet at Edinburgh the tuenty sixth day of december and of our reigne the fifth year 1693 sic subscribitur Tueeddale cancel: Southerland Linlithgou Annandale Forfar Tarbat Stair Raith Polluarth William Master of Forbes Adam Cockburn John Lauder W Anstruther T Livingstoune
