Anent a Petition given in to the Lords of their Majesties privy Councill be Livetenant Grahame one of the Lords in their majesties royall regiement of Foot Commanded by The Right honorable Lord George Hamilton Shewing That quher the saids Lords by their act of the date the […] day of January last Did give order and warrand for citeing of John Grahame in Damakeillies To Compeir before the saids Lords this day for harbouring and resetting Allan Gardner a deserter from Coll Lauders regiment and also gave order for transporting the pack of the said Allan to Edinburgh and deliver the same to one of the magistrates therof, and now seing that he had Caused cite the said John Grahame to Compeir this day before the saids Lords as the execution therwith produced would testifie and also hade delivered the pack to Baillie Mcintosh in whose hands it doeth presently Lye And Therfore humbly Craveing the saids Lords would take the premisses to their serious Consideratione And to ordaine the said pack to to2 be delivered to the petitioner In Respect he hade both at great trouble and expenses in seeking after the said Allan Gardner And also to Decerne and ordaine the said John Grame to make payment to the petitioner of the Soume of Ten pounds sterling as the Certification contained in the proclamation of Councill as the petition bears The Lords of their majesties privy Councill haveing Considered this petition given in to them be the above Livt Grahame with another petition be the above John Grahame They heirby Ordaine the Livt to prove before the Comittie anent souldiers and Deserters that the above Allan Gardner was in their majesties service and is a deserter And that he by the means of the said John Grame did make his escape And gives order and Comand to the above Baillie Mcintosh the said Livt Grahame or any Other person in whose hands the above pack now is to deliver up the Same to the said John Grame, He first finding Caution in the books of privy Councill for payment of Ten punds Sterling to the saids Livt Grame if the said Allan Gardner shall be found to be a deserter and to have made his escape by means of the said John Grahame and also to make the pack furthcomeing to all persones haveing intrest And Ordains letters of horning on […] and others neidfull to be direct heiron in forme as effeirs.
