Remitt to the Lord Lyon Anent messengers

petitione The Lord Lyon Representing that severall Messengers who by Act of Parliament are appoynted to take the oath of alleadgance and assurance Have not done the same Albeit the day for doing therof be Elapsed And Craving he may be authorized to Administrat the same to them upon their Laufull excuses The Councell allowes the petitioner to receave the excuses which shall be made be the saids messengers for their not taking the said oath and assurance And appoyntes him to report the excuses and all Instructiones therof to the Councell before any of the saids Magistrats be admitted to take the said oath and assurance To the effect they may refuise or sustaine the excuses as they find Just
