Tumult in Edinbugh and Kings guard called
The Councill haveing mett to take tryall what wes the occasione of yesternights tumult And how the same may be suppressed And the Lyke prevented in tyme comeing The Lord Chancellour Recomended to Sir Thomas Livingstoun Comander in cheiff etc present at the boord To Call together the troop of there majesties horse guairds to the Canongate And to cause them keep guaird there for some tyme That they may be in readynes upon a Call to enter the toun of Edinburgh If they be found necessarie for Suppressing any tumult which may fall out therein.
