Act Reponing James Irvine macer
Anent the petitione Given in to the Lords of their Majesties privie Councell Be James Irvine Macer sheuing That the petitioner being ordored by the saids Lords to take in his Custody Captain Maitland and Thomas Mcbrair about the space of ane fourtnight past It uas that day Represented to their Lordships That he had also that day in his custody Androw Baird son to Sir Robert Baird of Saughtounhall who treuly was never delyvered to the petitioner wherby he was by their Lordships suspended from the exercise of his office untill he should apprehend and Imprisone the said Androw Baird And the petitioner Having caused search all the suspected places wher the said Andrew Baird did formerly frequent both in toune and Countrie But could neither find him out or gett any nottice of him Lykeas It is nottourly knouen to their Lordships of the petitioners fidelity and Loyaltie and that he is become very valitudinary He being sick this half year by past neer to death And therfore Humbly Craving to the effect underwryten as the said petitione bears The saids Lords of their Majesties privie Councell Having Considered this petitione given In to them Be the said James Irvine macer They Heirby take off the sentence of Councell pronunced against the petitioner suspending him from his office of Macer And repones him to his said office alse fully and freely as if he had never been suspended therfrom
