Proclamation for adjourning the parliament
The proclamatione underwreitten being Imediatly prepared In obedience to the above Letter And read votted and approven wes signed and ordered to be recorded whereof the tenor followes William and Mary by the grace of God King and Queen of great Brittaine France and Ireland defenders of the faith To our Lyon King at armes and his brethren heraulds macers of our privie Councill pursevants messengers at armes our shirreffs in that [pairt] Conjunctly and severallie specially constitute Greeting Forasmuchas wee with advyce of the Lords of our privie Councill did by our proclamatione of the date the Last day of Januarij last bypast Adjourne the Current parliament of this our ancient Kingdome of Scotland from the tenth day of Februarij Instant to the first day of march next both in this instant year Jaj vjc nyntie and three years And now In regaird the present state of our effairs in this our ancient Kingdome does not requyre the meeting of parliament so soon And that the members of parliament may not be putt to the trouble or charge of meeting on the said day Wee therefore with advyce of the Lords of our privie Councill Hereby adjourne our said current parliament from the said first day of march next to the sixth day of Apryll thereafter Hereby requyring all members of our parliament to give attendance at Edinburgh on that day in the accustomed maner and under the Certificationes Contained in the severall acts of parliament Our Will is Herefore And wee charge yow strictly and Command That Incontinent these our Letters seen ye pass to the mercat cross of Edinburgh and the mercat crosses of the wholl heid burghes of the severall shyres of Kingdome And there in our name and authority By open proclamatione make publication of the said adjournment of our Current parliament of this our ancient Kingdome of Scotland from the said first day of march to the said sixth day of Apryll both next to come and ordaines these presents to be printed Given under our signet at Edinburgh the tuenty fyfth day of Februarij And of our reigne the fourth year Jaj vjc nyntie thrie years2 subscribitur ut sederunt
