Act Anent Captaine Douglass Libertie

The Lords of their Majesties privie Councell doe Heirby Give ordor and warrand to the Magistrats of Edinburgh Baillies of the Cannongate and Keeper of their tolbooth to suffer and permitt Captain George Douglass prisoner for refuising the oath of alleadgance and assurance to Come furth of the said tolbooth for the space of four or five houres each day In respect the said Captain hath Given bond and found sufficient Cautione That he shall reenter the said tolbooth each day uithin the said space of four or five houres nixt after he comes furth therof under the penaltie of five thousand merks
