Recomendatione to the theasurie anent the armes of disbanded forces and armes to be bought

The Lords of there Majesties privie Councill doe hereby recomend to the Lords Commissioners of there majesties theasurie to Call for the Colonells or other officers of the severall regiments and troops of foot or horse which are disbanded since there present majesties came to the Croune And take ane accompt from them of the armes which belonged to the severall regiments troops or Companyes That the same may be made furth comeing for the publict service And Lykewayes recomends to the saids Lords Commissioners to authorize any of the tacksmen of there Majesties revenues to Contract with merchands for bringing home at alse easie Rates as they can agree with the saids merchands the number of Fyve Thousand stand of fyre armes Conforme to the Caliber which is to be adjusted be the saids Lords Commissioners that the same may be made use of for the service of the natione.

Recommendatione to the treasury concerning the arms of disbanded forces and arms to be bought

The lords of their majesties’ privy council hereby recommend to the lords commissioners of their majesties’ treasury to call for the colonels or other officers of the various regiments and troops of foot or horse which are disbanded since their present majesties came to the crown and take an account from them of the arms which belonged to the various regiments, troops or companies, that the same may be made forthcoming for the public service; and similarly they recommend to the said lords commissioners to authorise any of the tacksmen of their majesties’ revenues to contract with merchants for bringing home at as easy rates as they can agree with the said merchants 5,000 stand of firearms, according to the calibre which is to be adjusted by the said lords commissioners that the same may be made use of for the service of the nation.
