Act Andersone of Westertoune

Anent the petition given in to the Lords of their majesties privy Councill be John Anderson of Westertoune Shewing That quher by the 18 act of the 2d session of their Majesties current parliament Forfaulters and Fynes post since the year Jaj vjc sixtie Five And the petitioners Forfaulter in speciall are expressly rescinded and all bonds and other rights extorted or exacted from the subjects up or Discharged and the Clerks of privy Councill and Clerks of any other Courts generall receiver and others who have in their hands bonds which were extorted or exacted on the accompts forsaid are ordained to deliver up the same to the debitors And true it is that the petitioner being most unjustly Forfault he was put under sentance of death and keepd in prison under fear and terror till ther was ane bond of Ane Thousand pund sterling extorted from him payable to the generall receivers wherof the petitioner was forced in the late government to pay five hundred punds Sterling The which bond is at present in the hands of Mr James Dalrymple one of the Clerks of session who Craved the saids Lords warrand and authoritie for delivering up the same And Therfore humbly Craveing the the2 saids Lords to grant warrand and order to the said Mr James Dalrymple and all others havers in their hands and custodie of the forsaid bond to delivery up the same to the petitioner conforme to the terror of the forsaid act of Parliament as the said petition bears The Lords of their Majesties privy Councill haveing Considered this petition given in to them be the above John Anderson They ordaine the above Mr James Dalrymple or any other havers in their hands and Custodie the above bond To deliver up the same to the petitioner upon his recept For which this shall be a Suficient warrand to all parties concerned.
